Taking reference from my real childhood photos, I find a constant in the blades of grass I used to run through my sprinkler in, the cold chlorine pool I’d find myself wading in across family vacations, and the luminescent sky that I revisit every time I watch the sun sink into Lake Ontario. this piece focuses on just the little pieces of my life that transport me back to when I was juvenile. the fragments of my youth are fragments of my present and fragments of my future, still waiting to be pieced together with more life and new experience.
Fragments of Youth
‘Fragments of Youth’ envisions my childhood in the way you would remember a dream: in textures, colours, splices of a moment. these are hints of memories that have stuck with me through my adolescence but aberrate from the full picture that I will never quite get back.
